There’s no one-size-fits-all set of nutritional There’s no one-size-fits-all set of nutritional needs, but this is a great vision for your plate! You’d do well to make half your plate non-starchy vegetables and even better if you eat them first! Having fiber-rich veggies pave the way will aid digestion (less bloat & gas!) and regulate blood sugar levels.
We know eating a balanced plate is crucial for mai We know eating a balanced plate is crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being. It provides essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals necessary for bodily functions, supports energy levels, aids in weight management, and reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Plus, it keeps our taste buds happy with a variety of flavors and textures and helps prevent burnout! But who has time to assemble a balanced plate for each mealtime?! It’s actually easier than we think IF we do a little meal planning (i.e. printing out a couple cheat sheets and stocking the refrigerator ahead of time). 😅
Self-care seems to take a backseat when our focus Self-care seems to take a backseat when our focus shifts to caring for our children (or perhaps aging parents). Remember the importance in caring for YOU! We cannot fully give of ourselves unless we are seeing to our needs as well. This could be drinking a glass of lemon water each morning, allowing for just ‘one more chapter’ in that really delicious book, enjoying an afternoon cup of tea, partaking in a favorite form of  exercise, or the ritual of a nightly skincare routine.
